Healthy Eating and Physical Activity – How are our Young Faring?

Positive dietary habits and regular physical activity are pivotal tenets of a healthy lifestyle. These lifestyle practices also play an important role in shaping the energy balance which is often used to explain the cause of obesity. This presentation sheds light on the dietary habits and physical activity engagement of our young from their parents’ and personal perspectives. It will also highlight other factors which can influence dietary practices and physical activity engagement among the young and how the obesogenic environment can be holistically addressed to combat obesity.
